How do we produce our Macadamia Nut Oil?

Macadamia oil is an oil extracted from the nuts of the macadamia tree. Our macadamia nuts are cold pressed in the ISO 9001 & 14001 certified oil factory to produce high quality virgin macadamia nut oil. This means that the natural nuts are pressed purely mechanically without any external thermal influence in a snail press.

Snail presses ensure a clean and continuous pressing operation. They are considered "state of the art technology" and thus a future-proof method. The gentle pressing process preserves the natural taste and sensory properties of the macadamia nut.

The LIMBUA natural macadamia oil is IFS Food, BRC Food Safety, EU Organic, USDA Organic (NOP), Demeter, Bio Suisse, Fair-for-Life, Halal and Kosher certified.

As soon as the macadamia nuts are ripe, they are carefully harvested and purchased by LIMBUA teams directly from the small scale farmers at fair prices. The nuts are then cracked, selected and packaged at the modern production sites in rural Kenya. This process is carried out under strict quality standards to ensure the purity and freshness of the subsequent oil.
