LIMBUA purchases macadamia nuts directly from contracted smallholder farmers around Mount Kenya, without intermediaries. Our local teams coordinate purchasing, quality checks and digital payments.
Our sourcing focuses on certified organic macadamias. We also purchase nuts from farmers transitioning to organic farming, which are supplied as conventional macadamias.
Processing
Processing includes washing, drying, cracking, hand-sorting, grading and packing.
Depending on the product, additional processing such as roasting and pasteurisation is available. We also offer selected private-label packaging formats.
By processing macadamias at origin, LIMBUA retains important production steps, employment and value creation in Kenya.
Shipping
LIMBUA supplies macadamia products to B2B customers worldwide, including Europe, the USA and Asia.

Conventional Macadamia Kernels
LIMBUA also supplies conventional macadamia kernels sourced from farmers in conversion.
Roasting
Macadamia kernels can be roasted to develop their characteristic flavour and crunchy texture. Roasted macadamias are supplied for snacks, confectionery, bakery and other food applications.
Grinding
Macadamias can be ground into a smooth paste for confectionery, fillings, sauces and plant-based foods. LIMBUA also supplies its own raw and roasted macadamia butter.
Chopping
Macadamia pieces in different sizes are suitable for bakery products, cereals, chocolate, ice cream and toppings. Different ingredient styles are available according to the application.
COATING
Macadamias can be coated or flavoured for finished snack products, including sweet and savoury varieties. We also offer our own range of roasted and coated nuts.
