From the very beginning, LIMBUA has focused on organic farming. Thus, since its founding year in 2009, exclusively organic farming in mixed crops has been implemented and LIMBUA has been consistently and successfully certified organic since 2012. Many of the smallholders have switched to organic farming through the cooperation with LIMBUA and are trained in regular trainings on organic farming. In addition, mixed crops provide higher yields and contribute to a healthy ecosystem. Organic farming therefore is good for people and for our environment.
